This applies not only to real estate, but also to punctuation. A period is not just a period and a comma is not just a comma.

We put a period where it would have been better to put a comma, and we put a comma where it would have been better to put a period.

Example: I know I did a good job, but it could have been better.
Corrected: I know I did a good job.

Example: I really messed up on the job.
Corrected: I really messed up on the job, but I learned how to do it correctly and will do it better next time.

or

I really messed up on the job, but I learned how important it is to do it slowly and I know it will turn out better the next time.

In both our “spoken talk” and our “unspoken self-talk” we may be putting periods where it would have been better to have put commas and vice versa.

Listen to both your “spoken talk” and your “unspoken self-talk”, check the location of your periods and commas, change where necessary and GROW! As a side benefit you’ll also feel better.
